Loyal Lodge of Industry No 421

Freemasonry for North Devon

Situated on the edge of Exmoor,
the busy market town of South Molton
has a long history.

For almost 200 years the
Loyal Lodge of Industry No 421
has been at the heart of the town, supporting a wide range of local charities and other good causes.

We are proud to continue that tradition of community service as we enter the second
decade of the 21st Century

Freemasonry is one of the oldest social and charitable organisations in the world.

It’s roots lie with the medieval stonemasons who built our castles and cathedrals. It is as relevant today as it was
hundreds of years ago.

Freemasons use four important guiding principles to help define their path through life…

Integrity, Friendship, Respect, and Charity.

Membership is open to people from all backgrounds. The organisation’s aim is to empower its members to be the best they can be. It’s about building character, supporting members as individuals, and helping them make a
positive contribution to society.

Freemasonry provides a structure for members to come together in pursuit of these common goals. It enables people to make new friendships, develop themselves, and make valuable contributions to charitable causes.

We are one of the largest charitable givers in the UK, with Lodges, Provinces, and our central Charity the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) contributing an average of…

£45 million to deserving causes in each of the last three years.

So what’s it all about?
